Sectorly is a free crypto market visualisation tool. We collect minimal data — only what is needed to count visits and provide optional account features like watchlists. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Anonymous visitor ID
When you first visit Sectorly, a random UUID is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key sly_vid. This ID contains no personal information — it is used only to count unique visitors in aggregate. It is never linked to your identity.
Account information
If you choose to create an account, we store your email address via Supabase Auth. Creating an account is entirely optional and only required to sync a watchlist across devices.
Watchlist data
If you are signed in, the coin IDs you star are stored in our database so your watchlist syncs across your devices.
Standard server logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) collect standard server-side logs including IP addresses and request timestamps. These are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Supabase
We use Supabase for database storage and authentication. See supabase.com/privacy.
Vercel
Sectorly is hosted on Vercel. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Market data providers
Price and market cap data is sourced from CoinGecko and CoinLore. Your personal data is not shared with these providers — they supply market data only.
Exchange affiliate links
The coin detail card contains affiliate links to third-party exchanges (Coinbase, Binance, Bybit, Kraken, OKX, KuCoin). Clicking a link opens the exchange's website, where their own privacy policy applies. We may earn a referral commission if you sign up or trade via these links.
We store one item in localStorage: your anonymous visitor ID (sly_vid). If you sign in, Supabase Auth stores a session token in localStorage to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Sectorly handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You have the right to:
You can clear your anonymous visitor ID at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. To exercise any of the above rights, contact us at the address below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
